Making concrete waves throughout the music underground and carving a reputation internationally with his live performances, popular event nights and taste-making label Ballroom Records, Berlin based Kaiser Souzai is an unstoppable force in the industry.
Within creating his own style of meticulously designed avant-garde tech, he draws influence from greats such as Pink Floyd, Genesis and Yes, while still keeping his roots of deep and progressive techno.
After a series of underground hits in the late 00s, remixing Booka Shade‘s ‘Love Inc‘ on Blaufield and Dave Seaman‘s ‘Everything Comes in Threes‘ on Tulipa Recordings, truly put Kaiser Souzai on the electronic music world map. He goes on to remix John Acquivica, Olivier Giacomotto, Maksim Dark amongst others and has been remixed himself by Oliver Koletzki, Gabe, Alberto Ruiz, Marco Lys, Dubspeeka and many more.
Whilst actively curating and releasing through his own imprint Ballroom, Kaiser continues to plant his seed throughout highly respected platforms, most recently Solee’s Parquette Recordings and Sharem Jay’s Bunny Tiger, adding to the list that includes Jannowitz, Patent Skillz, Throne Room, Sprout and Natura Viva.
Throughout Europe, to the Americas, from Asia and the Middle East to Australia and Oceania, Kaiser Souzai has performed his hybrid live/DJ sets at famed establishments and festivals such as Womb (Tokyo), Sisyphos (Berlin), Sullivan Room (NYC), Koi (Singapore), SASH (Sydney), Jungle Experience (Thailand), Uberhaus (Beirut), Forsage (Kiev) and Rhythm & Alps (New Zealand) at which he headlined the techno stage alongside Carl Cox.
With Sven Vath, Joseph Capriati, Sasha, Steve Lawler and Adam Beyer supporting and playing his tracks, it’s obvious why the Kaiser Souzai niche sound has had critical reception from all over the world.
